This amazing game had a difficult launch due to huge amount of bug and performance issues, specially on the last gen consoles -PS4 and Xbox One- as that launch was a disaster, many things changed in the post launch plan.
As the title above said, multiplayer mode was canceled due to the bugs fixing and releasing patch after patch to make the as it should’ve been in the 2020 launch.
Not only the multiplayer mode was canceled, also many game expansions canceled and just remaining on one patch, Phantom Liberty that will be releasing on 2023.
Also with that disasters, the game stills sell good numbers of copies with more than 20 millions copies sold until this quarter.
CD Project Red announced they will develop the next entry of this franchise next year with more focus on not repeating first game disaster launch.
